Name For Eco Friendly Clothing Company

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I am looking for a name for my new clothing line. My clothes are made from sustainable fibers and recycled materials. I have been brain storming for a catchy and hip name that I can brand, but nothing that I have come up with seems to fit. I was going to use a shortened version of my name, Robin Johnson, like Robi j, RoJo, but that isn't Eco related. I would like something organic sounding or something to do with the environment. I also thought names of flowers might work, like poppy, lily or stones like jade, or something like that, I really have no idea. The name that is the best of what I have come up with is Terra Bella Apparel. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Who is your target audience, Robin? Where do they live? Where do they buy their clothes now? How will they learn about your new line? Are you a designer or a manufacturer or a retailer (or something else)? What's the marketing/distribution plan?

Other than the eco-friendliness, what makes your clothing different from the thousands of other options out there? Does your target audience make clothing purchases primarily on the basis of eco-friendliness? If not, how do they make those decisions? What's most important to them?

If you can give us this additional information, we'll help you come up with a name. Without it, it's not likely we'll be much help. We don't even know how you are going to judge our suggestions or what criteria you'll use to pick a winner.

P.S. Do you have a business/marketing plan for your company? If not, that's the place to start. The name can come later.

Michael's asking you the right questions for your long-term business viability. If you have a burning desire for a name before you do your "work", here are a couple of suggestions: EcoJo or bECOme.

I am a fashion designer and my clothes are for the everyday lady, ages 20-40, she likes to shop at specialty boutiques and stores like Anthropology. So far my plan for getting my clothes noticed is by word of mouth, trunk shows and when I'm ready to launch my line I planning on having a fashion show. My clothes are made with sustainable materials, but are not in relation with "hippy" wear. My clothes are very well made with much attention to detail. I have a broad range of designs that really fit any lifestyle. Women want to buy my clothes because they like the idea of being Eco friendly, but the reason that they actually buy my clothes is for the comfortable elegance that my clothes have to offer.
I hope that this helps and I'm really open to any ideas for naming my line.
    Thanks Robin
