We are creating a corporate training program around financial acumen and need a catchy name. It is geared towards employees at all levels within our corporate office and will provide them with the basics of understanding our financial statements - balance sheets, income statements, etc. Employees will also learn how they can affect our financial metrics, which can impact their annual bonus payouts.

I might position it as "knowing your company better." I worry that if it says "financial" it could scare some people who think they don't, or can't, understand finance.

And I might be sure there's something else in the training program besides a lot of numbers ... even though I understand the objective is to share some understanding of the company's financial underpinnings. You may find that a lot of folks just don't get double-entry bookkeeping ... even if you give simple examples.

Thanks for the responses so far. While normally I would agree that finance is a scary subject, our employees are actually asking for this kind of training, so I would like to keep the name related to finance / financial fundamentals so they know that we are listening to their needs.

Ideas we started with were Finance 101 or Finance for Non-financial Managers, but definitely want something more catchy. I am liking a spin-off of Jays idea - something like "Making $en$e of Finance" or "Making $en$e of the Bottom Line". Would welcome any additional ideas.

How about F.I.T. = Financial Information Training. It's simple, catchy, and unassuming.
