Slogan / Tagline For The Crowned Serif

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
This is a Graphic Design Freelance Company specializing in....

Company Identity
- Logos
- Stationery (Letterhead, Business Cards, Envelopes)

Advertising
- Brochures
- Newspaper and Magazine Ads
- Direct Mail (such as Postcards)
- Package Design

Writing
- Assist with Brochure and Website Writing
- Create Slogans and Ad Campaigns
- Develop Product Names

I already have my COMPANY NAME The Crowned Serif. The name comes partly from my real name and also from a typography word. Serif. This is the little curlies and flourishes on some type fonts.
I will haev a logo as well, but need a TAGLINE or SLOGAN
Some of my ideas so far as follows:

"working dangerously outside the box, for you!"

"The higher authority"...

"Keeping shapes, colors, and letters in their place."

"Packing heat and Pull in the Graphic World"

"Our reign extends far outside the box..."

"The kingdom of imagination lies outside the box..."

I really want to TRY to incorporate the theme or words OUTSIDE THE BOX into this slogan, but I still want it to be ONE SENTENCE.....

Anyone who helps, thanks for your input! :)

You SAY you are a graphic design company, but then you branch off into writing and naming. So before you try to come up with a slogan or tagline, you probably ought to figure out what it is you're trying to communicate and to whom.

When I first saw your name, I thought you were probably a font designer or typographer. Then I made the connection to graphic design pretty easily. But writing? Naming?

And what's the connection to "outside the box?" I understand that you want to be seen as edgy, but it doesn't really follow from your name, unless it's the font that's unusual.

I guess we should start with what it is that's most important for people to know about you -- what you do, or how "outside the box" your work is? Either way, it would seem that the words "graphic design" need to be somewhere in the tagline, or people will never figure you out. ("Packing heat and pull ..." is the only line that includes the word "graphic" or "design," but it's not clear what it MEANS.)

Start with a clear articulation of what you want to communicate. Then we can help you with the tagline/slogan.

As a rule, people aren't looking for "outside the box" design. People might be looking for interesting/unusual designs, but the bottom line is people are looking for beautiful & effective graphics that help the business achieve their goals. For example:

    Graphic Designs That Stand Out
Graphic Designs That'll Get You Noticed
