hello...looking for a catch phrase for my new digital photography business. It's an "all occasion" service for now...and will be incorporating event planning eventually...any suggestions? Haywood Creations is the name.

Since very few people will be able to figure out what "Haywood Creations" is or does, it's imperative that you be very explicit in your tagline. It would be nice if you could also (a) indicate your unique and compelling positioning benefit, and (b) identify and single out your primary target audience.

OK, so that's a lot to ask of a short tagline ... but that's what taglines are supposed to do.

In order to help you, we need a little more information: Where are you located? What is the market you serve? What makes you different from, and better than, your competitors? Why should someone hire YOU?

And can you narrow your target audience somewhat? "All-occasion" is pretty broad, and your best bet is to start with a very narrow and focused target audience. (It's easier to say exactly the right thing to them, and it costs less to generate awareness when the target is narrower.) When you've captured 100% of the initial target audience, you can apply the lessons learned to the next target audience.

I agree that the tagline should be descriptive of what you do. You will have an added challenge if you do add a new function of event planning on top of photography, as these are pretty different.

The tagline for the photographer could be something as simple as "professional photographer", though I am sure you will agree that is not that catchy (but it is descriptive).
