Need Help Naming A Wine!!!

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I have been asked to come up with a name for a wine that is fun, will help sell the wine and if possible, also promotes the quality and consistent values of the vineyard. The first release will be a Rhone blend consisting of Petite Sirah and Syrah (a red blend) followed by a white blend in early 2011. The name can tie into a particular blend but ideally it would be a name that can be used for any blend. I've come up with a few names but I'm not quite "feeling it."

- Enormous Grape(s)
- Endeavor
- Smashing Grape(s)
- Heaven Sent
- Velocity

The vineyard is located in California so I though some Spanish names might be a good option too.
- Adalia (means "of the noble" in Spanish)
- Adoncia (means sweet in Spanish)
- La Reina, Reina (means Queen in Spanish)
- Tierra (means "earth" "land: in Spanish)

I desperately need some help with this!! Please feel free to submit any names you can think of! I could use all the help I can get!!

Thank you so much!
Trish

If you want the name to help sell the wine, you need to define your target audience, not the vineyard's values. Your target audience definition should be as narrow and precise as possible, so that the name really speaks to that segment.
