Naming Advice For Orthodontic Office

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I am starting an orthodontic office and am wondering about what to name it. I could go with my name but am hesitant since my last name is "Price" and I'm not sure that would be a positive or negative first impression. I've also thought of using the same name as the well renowned pediatrician group next door. The problem is their name is the same as a local high school "Centennial" and since I live in Texas where football is so big, I fear I may be loosing potential patients who go or plan on going to one of the other high schools in the area. The third thought is to name it something like Four Corners Orthodontics since we are in an area where four cities come together and the area is known to many of the locals as the Four Corners (north Dallas). Thank you.

It depends on what your goals are. If you're trying to develop your business "brand", don't be cute - use your name and add a tagline to describe what you specialize in.

If you're trying to stand out a bit more, create an artificial ("cute") name - Four Corners Orthodontics, etc. If the name is anchored to another well-loved/known location/landmark, that's easier for people to potentially remember (and possibly easier to confuse with other businesses doing similar naming techniques).
