As for my market position, I plan to specialize in newborns and babies with additional work from maternity, children and families. My style of photography is lots of natural light and color. It is art to me. I plan to specialize (babies and newborns) and compete in the market based on quality. Almost a boutique-ish feel. I provide lots of time at shoots, up to 3 hours for newborns. My demographic is mothers age 30-40 in the middle to upper-middle class income bracket. My goal is to own a studio within 5 years.
For the name, I am not opposed to using my first name, Suzanne. My middle initial is C. I would prefer to stay away from my last name as it is mouth full when combined with my first name. I am open to having an artist last name that coveys my photographic style - hope, joy, etc. If there is a play on sounds that would be even better. I also go by Suzy.
Another ideas is to use my defining characteristic - red hair and freckles somewhere in the name. I would also like to convey the quality, boutique (limited sessions) somewhere as well.
