Divorce Coaching Consulting And Mediation Biz Name

Posted by Anonymous on 500 Points
I am in need of a company name for my practice that helps people in or contemplating divorce. I guide them through the steps, help with budgeting and assist with getting their lives back in order. I also do divorce mediation. I am not an attorney. I offer lower cost alternatives and do recommend that my clients spend a couple hours with an attorney to review everything. This allows clients to work out a plan prior to spending upwards of $375 per hour with an attorney, thus saving them money.
I consider myself to be the person between a therapist and an attorney with regards to divorce.
I want the name to symbolize or describe transition or plan of action. Balance/fairness and/or positive change.
Please help!

It's a little hard to take you seriously since you've been a mortgage broker and an art rental entrepreneur in previous incarnations here on the Know-How Exchange. Are you sure you have the technical know-how and skills to now become a divorce coach?

Assuming you actually have the right skills, you might consider serving a niche market ... like women with children contemplating divorce, or couples married more than 10 years, etc. And then I'd feature testimonials from satisfied clients.

As for names, I'd keep it very straight and professional: [Cityname] Divorce Center, or [Cityname] Divorce Coaching. Your tagline can then spell out the benefit for your niche/subsegment.

I'm with Michael - keep the name professional, not "clever".

In addition to who you're targeting, also at what phase in divorce are you targeting, since that'll greatly affect the marketing/naming for your business?

That is a tad insulting as my previous posts were several years ago. I successfully sold the art rental business after it got up and running and have been a mortgage broker for 15 years, owning my own business. I'm also a certified divorce financial analyst. Some people like to continue to learn and grow.
