Ah, I have a silly question: Nike shoes - the company that spent a few ba-zillion dollars getting everyone who has cognitive abilities over the past 25 years to know, "Just do it." Is that the Nike you mean? Why would you NOT want to use that in your ad since it's already known? A tag line IS NOT something you use once and throw away - a one-time ad thing. It's something you invest in over the long run and get mind share from. Since Nike has done this for you already, and I believe if you check out Nike's licensing, resellers are allowed to use their tagline in ads for their products...Why not "Just use it?" Or are you really looking for "Ad copy" - words to use in your ad to promote your sale or whatever you are trying to do? Ad copy is generally looonger text you put in the ad to get people's attention. For instance, you could combine copy text with the Nike tagline and add some local context around it - like "Need a new pair of summer sports shoes? Come see our Nike collection. Just do it!" This is not good - before the copy could be written, we'd need to know some more about what exactly you're trying to sell and what the purpose of the ad is and who it's aimed at - as Michael and Phil mentioned. Give us more and we (the "people") can help you in your urgent need.

Who is your target audience, and why should the buy from you instead of someone else who has the same merchandise?

It sounds like you're looking for headline for an advertisement, not a tagline (for a company). Others have asked the right questions - spend the time to answer the questions to get some solid suggestions for your business.

I am also confused by the question. Nike has a strong tagline. So I assume you are looking for a tagline for your retail store? If so, who do you sell to? What product lines?
