Name For Small Psychology Practice

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I've been brainstorming for a business name for a small psychology practice - 2 psychologists who see children, adolescents, adults & couples. We mainly offer psychotherapy for wide variety of issues/diagnoses, but also offer play therapy, child custody, testing/assessments, and there's a plan to expand in the future to include neurofeedback (eeg biofeedback). We will be located in Del Mar, CA. Some words I like are: Balance, growth, change, modern, choice, emergent, develop, self, care.... Del Mar, coast, coastal, pacific...
any ideas?

That's a pretty broad set of services for a positioning strategy name. I would go with either your two names or something simple. Then you can create a tagline to further communicate what services you will be offering.

    delmarpsychologygroup.com is available!

Why not simply: Del Mar Psychology Associates (or Steve's fine suggestion)? Don't focus on the menu of services you're offering (or plan to). Focus on who is likely to be interested in what you're offering.

I really like both those ideas, although Associates sounds a little like lawyers.. Del Mar Psychology Group is a good name. However, what if we change offices in the future? Do we keep the same name or change it then?

Also, how can I look up which business names are already used?

Thanks! I'm really new at this.

That's a good idea to look in the directory. Thanks Karen.

I may use the Del Mar Psychology Group name after I run it by my colleague.

    Thanks!
