Looking For A Unique Tagline For Montessori School

Posted by heidibisbee on 250 Points
I am looking for a Unique Tagline for a Montessori school for my client. Something NOT cliché like "Excellence in Education." Although the Montessori schools provide excellent education, they are so unique in their approach that I want their tagline to reflect this. Their approach is through independent study and many of their technique use visuals and mathematics (counting beads & blocks) as a base. What is most interesting is the children are never held back, so the children can ultimately be learning in 2nd grade, what others are learning in 4th or 5th grade. It's really quite amazing how I could tour the facility and peek in on a room of 3-7 year olds (the classes are a mixed age group), and it was so calm, and clean, as they also teach the responsibilities of picking up after yourself. Everything they teach sets these children up for future success. Did you know the owners of Google were montessori taught? Well, I just wanted to give some background so you could be able to understand the kind of tagline I am looking for. Thanks!

So who is your target audience for this? Is it parents who are not aware of the Montessori Method? Where? What are their most important needs? What would THEY have to hear to get them to take the next step (and look into this school)?

Is Montessori right for all kids, or are there certain kids for whom it is perfect and others who might be better off elsewhere?

Have you spoken with parents of the students at this school and heard the words they use to describe their kids' experiences? I would think that would be the place to start. You'll learn what sticks in their minds, and perhaps those are the same things that will grab your target audience.

Hopefully you have included Montessori in the name of the school. As a parent searching for Montessori schools for my child, that was the only way I could find them. I love Montessori style teaching. It is a great way to improve creativity. The other thing that is wonderful about the method is that it teaches self-modification of behavior. You can tell a child that has been taught the Montessori method by how they behave in public. They usually are taught to go through stores and such with their hands behind their back so they aren't into everything.

    Creative, well behaved achievers.

I read your question a few times and thought about it a bit. It seems from the info you provided that parents of this type of school would be drawn by the fact its not a cookie cutter type education. So why not try taglines like:

    Individualized Education
    Personalized Education
    Bespoke Education
    Learning Around Your Child
Individual Optimized Education (playing on popular SEO)
    Education for the Individual
    Customized Learning
    Teaching to the Individual
    Specialized Per Child
    A Method for Each Child

Thank you everyone for your thoughts. Mgoodman, to answer your question, the target audience are the parents, as they are the ones enrolling the child. The Montessori education is excellent for any child. Most parents strive to optimize their child/children's education while offering them tools to adapt to most any situation, and the montessori education offers this, as well as excellent social skills.

As I was driving back from a vacation, I saw a school billboard that said "Preparing for your future," and felt that this really embodied Montessori education. I would love something along these lines if anyone has any suggestions!
