Need A Name/tagline For A Strategic Consulting Co.

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I need help with a name and tagline for a Strategic Consulting firm that will provide the following to small and medium size businesses:

- Project/Program Management
- Business Re-engineering / Change Management
- Strategy Consulting
- SaaS (Software as a Services) consulting
- Technology implementation (EMR, CRM, etc.)
- Technology Training

My immediate focus is Electronic Medical Records System Implementation (EMR) and business re-engineering for the health and medical services industry but I don't want to limit the company to only medical co's. Thus I want a neutral name.

Any ideas are appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

The more "neutral" your name is, the less impact it will have with each target audience. The more specific you can be, the better chance that the name will communicate the right message to the right audience.

It would seem that the market you've identified as your initial target is large enough to keep you plenty busy for many years. Why not zero in on that market and do what you can to grab a 100% market share of the most important segment. That will let you really communicate clearly and effectively with your target audience, rather than spread your resources across a broader market and be equally irrelevant to everyone.

I understand the desire to try to appeal to everyone, but ultimately that will be a much more expensive and much less effective strategy for you. I've been through this positioning and naming issue with dozens of clients -- including very large and very small companies, B2B and B2C, local, national and international, product and service industries, not-for-profits, etc. -- and clearly focused, narrow-audience, highly-specific names always work better than "generic" or "neutral" names.
