Name & Tagline For A Screencasting Service

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I am starting a screencasting service, and need a name and tagline.

I will be targeting small to medium sized business that have a website, software application or phone application for which they need a video demo that either shows an overview of their product or site, or shows how to use their product or site.

My service will include script writing, voice over and video demo creation. What I can offer is:
-high-quality, professional video for use on client's website
-range of pricing & services - from full service (including development of project plan, script, graphics, etc ) to a simple screencast video (client supplies script & graphics)
-quick turnaround: from start to finish in 2 weeks or less
-guaranteed satisfaction (or money back or redo)

I would like to emphasize (either in the name or tagline) the concept of professional/polished (as opposed to them doing it themselves, with a less-than-polished result). I would also like to somehow get the benefit message across -that doing a screencast will help them sell their product/create more profits/improve their revenues.

I would also like to have the word "Screencasts" somehow in the name, for SEO purposes.

Some ideas I had for names were:
OmniScreencasts
The Screencast Boutique
The Screencast Spot
Action Screencasts
Performance Screencasts
Action Screencasts
AppCasts
Everyday Screencasts

And for the tagline, some ideas I had were:
Professional screencasting service
Professional screencasts that sell
Tell your story with professional screencasts

Would love everyone's input and ideas! Thank you!

I think you have some good ideas already, and you have done a great job of thinking through what the name is supposed to do. The focus on a benefit for your primary target audience is right on.

The one thing I think I would NOT do is repeat the word "screencast" in both the name and the tagline.

FWIW, my personal favorites from your name list are Action Screencasts and Performance Screencasts ... because they are explicit about the benefit.

And for a tagline, how about something like, "To tell your story most persuasively."

The word "professional" may not be as meaningful to your target audience as "persuasive." "Professional" is overused and may be expected (i.e., a price of admission), not a distinguishing feature.

Hope this helps. And, FWIW, your finalists can be quickly and easily researched among your target audience. After all, they're the ones whose opinions really count.
