Name For New Home Decor Store

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I need a fabulous name for my home decor store. I will be selling accessories, re-purposed furniture, mirrors, artwork and lamps. My customer base comes from an upper middle class resort and retirement area (Naples) in Southwest Florida. I was stuck on the name "Nest" for awhile. My inventory features a wide selection of decorating styles (i.e. Tuscany, Beachy Cottage, Hollywood Glam (think mirrored furniture) and a little Baroque mixed in. HELP!

    Hi!

Sounds like a fun business! I wish you success, and enjoyment (hopefully in parallel!).

While I like the name "Nest" quite a lot, I wonder what the perception will be for the "Snow Bird" market you described. They are likely to associate with that (and perhaps that isnt a negative, I dont know), but also think of "Empty Nest" which may be counter to your purpose. You want them to refill the nest, but perhaps this is not the right communication track to follow to achieve this.

    Consider:

Flourish Furnishings - "Don't just Dwell - Thrive!"

The name play on two senses of the word flourish, "a bold or extravagant gesture to attract attention", and a "sudden or impressive prosperity". The tagline plays on two senses of dwell "to inhabit" and "to ponder, excessively" and thrive reiterates and reinforces the name as it is synonymous.

I hope this proves helpful. I am happy to assist further, please use any of the contact methods in my profile!

    Kind regards,

    Ryan
