Help! I Need A Production Co. Name

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I am creating a production company that will have many purposes. First, it will be used to write economic ebooks and conduct seminars on real estate and market conditions. It may also turn into a publishing company for such projects as well as some of my own pet projects such as art and my personal writings. I need something unique and catchy, but am having trouble coming up with something that can be used on a professional level as well. My goal is to produce works that enlighten the audience, provide answers and theories to many current and future issues, and guide them through this changed market. Influence and information is key first and foremost. My logo is a lion with my other companies so I wouldnt mind playing off of that... I do not want something dry. I want to use it for my personal works which are science fiction and fantasy art. I need something that will transition. I like made up words or words put together to create an original name. Any ideas would be GREAT!

Let's start with a clear definition of your primary target audience. Who are they? Where are they? What do you want them to do/think when they hear your name?

What is your target audience looking for? What are their greatest unmet needs? What benefit is most important to them?

Why should someone hire you instead of any one of the other dozen production companies in your area? What is your unique positioning benefit?

One of your problems is that you're too focused on what you want to do and not focused enough on who your customers will be and what they need. I'll bet they don't select a production company because it has a catchy name. So how DO they select a production company?

    Hello Jasmine!

Michael makes some valid points above, but holding that aside, when reading your brief I got to the part about the Lion logo and thought:

    Roar! Productions. "Be Heard"

I'll hold further offerings until you provide some detail on Michael's questions above.

    Cheers!

    Thank you for the information.
My audience for the production company will be:

1- Investors and general public seeking information about market conditions and bank owned properties.
The media used to talk to this audience will be a monthly broadcast my website, possibly a Pod cast or seminars, special appearances on media outlets, and e-books. It will discuss the inner workings of Wall Street and DC to explain the recession, what a buyer should know about this market and give market projections, what a seller should know in regards to a non-traditional sale (namely a short-sale if they pursue that avenue), and other relevant topics to real estate in our current environment. The key is it will be co-authored by a former Wall Street trader who is one of the top brokers in our state and is sought after by investors and banks alike. Also, the media will have contributions from a real estate atty so that the media can speak legalities. The broker is key as he is viewed as a financial and real estate guru on the east coast making this media extraordinary and sets it apart from similar media.
2- Real estate agents wanting a 'how-to' guide. Agents are always inquiring as to how said broker became the go-to for bank properties. Seminars, e-books, and other media will have him speak to professionals directly as well as provide them with short-sale and bank property do and don't legality wise (provided by the atty).
The contributors to this media have been offered deals before and have been asked by national news media, large entities and associations, and private parties to provide this information. One party mentioned that a book maybe in the works and there are people already asking to be notified when it comes out. The anticipation and projected reception of this media is growing and I want a name to project leadership and dominance in the market (thus the lion logo). The company will hold all rights to the media, negotiate and market the said media, and conduct all transactions from publication/production. The name has to be respectable to New York funds and high dollar investors as well as local real estate agents and public looking for answers.

Thank you again for your contributions.

Given your different audiences, I'd suggest different names for different services/audiences. For example, Wall Street Wisdom or Real Estate eInsider.
