Plasma Metal Art Business Name

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I am trying to come up with a name for my Plasma Metal art business. I will be creating all kinds of things, garden art, address/welcome signs, candle holders, furniture, sports logo signs, business signs...the list is endless. Does anyone have any ideas for a catchy name for my business?

Who is your target audience? Who is supposed to notice the name and figure out that they might want some of what you're selling? Where do they live? How often do they buy stuff like this? How do they make a decision to purchase? Is it impulse, or is it a considered decision?

A good name will convey an emotional benefit to the prospective customer. That's why it's important to understand the customers' profile and what makes them tick.

And "catchy" names are not usually as effective as straightforward names that tell what you do and why your target audience might want to pay attention.

All that said, tell us what unique benefit you provide for your target audience, give us some information about who they are, and we'll give you some ideas for the name.

You might also think about how you'll know the right name when it shows up. What are the criteria for picking a winner? If we know that in advance, there's a much better chance we can come up with some good, on-strategy candidates right away.

    Dear happy18917,

Forget catchy, focus on relevance for your buyer. No one buys catchy. There were 135,000 global searches last month on Google
    for the term "metal art".

So, consider "Metal art by (your name)". Remember, it's not what YOU think is appealing that matters, it's what your buyer thinks is relevant. Search-wise, putting the keyword FIRST in a domain name also helps your rankings and puts the emphasis on what you offer, not on you.

    I hope this helps.

Thanks so much for all your help. It makes sense to start the name with "Metal Art" first, as Gary Bloomer suggested. I have decided to call my business "Metal Art Xpressions". I am sure once I get started I will need more help, and it is so great to have found a forum such as this. Thanks, again to everyone who responded to my question.
