Business Name Required For A Cleaning Company

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
I am exploring names for a cleaning business I am in the process of setting up. My target market is the commercial market as opposed to the domestic. So far I have come up with the following name Rub-a Scrub Scrub Cleaning Co.

Although I like the name, could you please advise whether (a)you think it is a suitable name for the commercial market, (b) could you also suggest other names that I could possibly consider (c) as well as a tagline?

Many thanks!

Where are you located, Catherine? The name you have come up with doesn't sound like the name of a professional cleaning company in the commercial market. I would be less "cutesy" and more professional ... something like, "[Yourtown] Professional Cleaning Service." [Yourtown] could also be the name of the county, region, neighborhood, or even a well-known local landmark (e.g., a lake or mountain nearby, etc.).

The name isn't nearly as important in your business as your sales effort. You'll need to have a compelling sales story for your target audience and just leave them with your business card so they can call you (and will recognize you when you call them). I'd stick with something very straightforward and descriptive for the name.

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply, the company is based in London (England). I am going to start by targeting the north London market. I can see what you are saying about the cutesy factor, 'London Professional Cleaning Service' does work because it does not limit me in any way what so ever should the company really take off and expand across north London.

What's more, I've just checked on the internet and no-one is using the name, (i.e. no one has registered it as a domain name, for when I get round to setting up a website), so I wouldn't be in danger of stepping on anyone's toes either!

    Thanks once gain!
