Online Store Name

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Hey everyone, I'd appreciate any input into helping me decide an online store name. I design and make high end fashion pieces for women. I recycle old clothing and mix it with elements of new to create a completely original piece, t shirts etc all organic cottons. I basically do my best to keep everything as green as possible. Something original but memorable! I'm really struggling so any help would be great..Thanks!!

So who is in your target audience? Who are you trying to reach with your message? Where do they live? What other products are they likely buying? What magazines do they read? How and where do they usually shop for high-end fashion pieces like yours?

And then, how will they learn your website exists? What will get them to your site?

And what is the main positioning benefit? What do they consider first when deciding to buy this kind of merchandise? Is it the look/style? Is it that it's original? Is it that it's recycled? Is it that it's green?

The name needs to resonate with the audience, so the more we know about them, the better able we will be to help you come up with a great name.

High end fashion is maybe the wrong terminology, quirky on trend fashion pieces may be more apt, and Phil though your entitiled to your opinion, and I do appreciate your honesty, I disagree. Any online fashion business is up against returns for all of the listed reasons, not reason for me to give up before I've started.

Mgoodman in response my target audience are young women 18-30 in the UK, magazines they would read - look or grazia, not sure you know of these! I would hope the fact that every piece is unique and with recycled elements this is what would influence their purchase. With regard to getting traffic to my website, usual sort of advertising facebook page, getting decals on my car, I'm looking into advertising in 1 of the above mags that have ad space at the back for independant businesses few other ideas but hopefully you getthe gist of where I'm coming from. Thanks for both your responses.
