New Handyman Business - Need A Name And Tagline

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I want to start a Handyman Business but first I need a name and a tag line. My name is Jim Murphy and like the idea of a fun name but something that promotes professional services as well. Thanks.

I actually have a full time job right now but like most who start a business I want the freedoms as well as the advantages to running my own show. For many years I've been doing home reno's mostly on my own but have worked on other peoples as well. My strengths would be in anything backyard - I'm currently a professional forester but love landscaping etc. I was thinking small things like landscaping and lawns, plumbing and minor carpentry, drywall repairs, painting etc. All the literature and research I've done says to stay with a proprietorship and not inc.
The name I'm looking at right now is Jim's Professional Handyman and Home Improvement Services. What do you think?

"Jim's Professional Handyman and Home Improvement Services" is too long a name. How about: "Let Mr. Murphy Fix It" or "J. Murphy Home Improvement"?

Not bad at all. Ironically, my wood working business on the side where I custom build home furniture and cabinets is called jmurphy's woodworking. I guess I was hopeing for that catchy Handyman name I see so much of on the web.

You want to stand out right? How about naming your co.
'The Irish Handyman. J Murphy at UR service'.

Just have fun with the name.
