Name For A Woman Owned Structual Material Vendor?

Need a business name. I am starting a minority owned business that purchases structural materials such as steel, wood, bricks, etc. My target audience would be contractors and sub- contractors working for government agencies.

    Hi Phil, Thanks for such a prompt respond. The fact that its "minority"/or "woman owned" is key to this industry though I dare say contractors needing this participation will spread the name fast enough. I was looking for something different. Something that stands out from the usual lingo you might see in the yellow pages and then a name that has the potential to expand as well. Its a tall order which is why I have struggle now for 2months. And its going to be an "S" corp. Any additional ideas?

    I'd stick with a "standard" name, and not try to "stand out from the usual lingo." As you note, the word will spread pretty quickly that you are "minority" or "woman owned."

    You don't want to be cutesy with the name or overplay the ownership card and have people think that's the only reason they should consider you. Better to be part of the industry and just let the business find you for the advantages you offer -- not because you have a strange name.
