Know-How Exchange : Taglines/Names

So who is your primary target audience? Where do they live? Where will they go when they leave your restaurant after breakfast? Why are they not eating at home? Where are they having breakfast now?

We need to understand the situation -- and especially your target audience -- much better if we're going to really be helpful.

And even when you have the perfect slogan, how/where are people going to see/hear it? Just having a good slogan won't generate business all by itself. What's the marketing plan? What's the value of a new customer? How much are you prepared to spend to get that new business?

Our customers are mostly well-off people living in posh area's of the City. The primary age group ranges from 18 - 35. Following are some of our breakfast customer profiles:

1. Parents who've just dropped off their children to their schools
2. Younger people who're having a meeting cum breakfast for their school projects etc.
3. A group of friends who just want to have a good time in a good environment (fortunately or unfortunately there aren't many good / clean / modern places offering breakfast in the City)
4. A place for official meetings

Basically a lot of our customers are the one's who have been to places in the West and are aware of the brand / product etc.

There are alternatives available with regards to local breakfast but they are completely different to what we offer. They are local / unhygienic / not so "cool" / don't offer a good environment to eat etc.

Our ATL plan consists of Newspaper, Billboards, Radio, TV scrolls, etc. BTL would have in-store promotions.

I think our main selling point is the fact that we're one of the only cafes / restaurants open at 7am.

You presumably want more suggestions because the ones Jay has come up with don't meet your needs. So maybe it would be good if you could tell us WHY they don't, and what it is you're looking for.

It's a lot easier to come up with good taglines when we know up-front what the criteria will be for selecting one.

(I'm not trying to convince you that Jay's are exactly right for you, but they certainly communicate the main selling point you identified.)

I think "7am breakfast? We're open" is good. I was hoping to get at least a couple more along the same lines to choose the best from. As mentioned i would love the word "breakfast" to be a part of the slogan to fully associate it with the offering / brand. It could be something as simple as above mentioned slogan or could be something completely out of the box.

You have one that's good. What would make it better? How will you know if it's better? What are the criteria by which you will pick the winner?

You don't need 5 good slogans. You need one. Having 4 extras won't help your business.
