Tagline:online Business Selling High Ended Brands

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
We are in process of launching our online business selling high ended brands. This is a onlines sales that has members participating by invitation only.

Our value proposition is bringing global brands to India at affordable costs. The message that we want to communicate is in lines of "trendy", "catchy" "modern", "smart", "value"

We need a catchy tagline to follow our webaddress..
some thing like xyz.com..indulge yourself etc.

Thanks a lot for your responses.

    Good insight Phil,

We are bringing in premium men, women and kids fashion brands to India. Brands like Abercrombe and Fitch, Guess, Calvin Klein to name a few. Hope this helps.

So what is your target market buying now? What are you replacing? Why might someone in your target audience buy from you ... especially online, if they are not used to buying high-end fashion items online? How would they know you are legitimate and not a rip-off?

Tell us about the target audience and what makes them tick, how they decide on these kinds of purchases, whether they currently buy things online, etc.

Wow. loadded question. The target segment currently is buying from brick and mortar stores. Some of the brands donot even have local prescence or are limited to large metros only. The prices are also very high due to huge overheads involved in conventional business. India has large infrastructural challenges in terms of congestion, distances, parking limitations, weather etc to name a few.

Online business in India is still in nascent stage. However with growing penetration of broadband, infrastructural challenges and increasing awareness and deep discounts online customers are moving online.

We are offering solutions to all that wherein customer can buy in comfort of his home / office. We are addressing the concern of aithencity by providing a satisfaction guarantee. If the customer doesn't like what he/she purchses they can return goods back to get a full refund (store credit). We are also incenting them to buy by offerring deep discounts to retail.

Long and short these challlenges existed even in US market but customers gradually got a lot more comfortable buying online.

(Aside: the store credit guarantee isn't truly a satisfaction guarantee - you still keep their money)

Agreed. Till the market and consumer behaviour matures to the extent we have in US this(store credit) probably is the best option we could provide.
    Thanks for the response.

This sounds a lot like www.gilt.com which basically has the same philosophy as you. Get overstocked high priced items, sell them for cheap for only a few days. And make people be "accepted" as a member before they can buy anything so that you can send them daily/weekly emails on new products. It's a great strategy because it feels like an exclusive social club that they need to be into so I would structure my tagline around the fact that by letting them into your website you're doing them a favor. I say something like:
    "Private Luxury Sales"

    "Private Luxury Sales"

We kinda like it but it gotta be be more sticky and exclusive.
Comeon guys.. our start-up could really use your expertise.

Appreciate all your feedback so far.
