Who is the primary target audience? How will they learn about the brand? What's the positioning benefit? Why might someone buy the product? (gift vs. own use, etc.) Where/what city/area/country?

Do people know what this product does/is? Do you have to educate them?

is this product environmentally friendly? Could be significant in choosing a name.

Thank you for your responses. I like that idea " protect and serve with a touch of fun and flash. Hot Stuff doesn't quite fit. What do you think of Jitter Jacket?

Target Market those who use conical shaped cups for their hot or cold drinks and want to be eco-friendly and fashionable by using a reusable, rather than paper cup sleeve or double cupping to protect their hands from hot or cold or keep their drink hot or cold longer. Will be marketed in coffee, tea, drink shops, gift boutiques and for the months of November - December at our local holiday market of hand made gifts - for yourself or others.

I would just be careful to research whatever name you choose before you use it. I just searched Etsy.com and there are over 3,000 different cup sleeves out there. They're called everything from Coffee Cuff to Cup Cozy to Eco Sleeve.

So, what opinions do you all have on
Jitter Jacket - Designer Cup Sleeve??

I suppose if people just see the name not attached to this product they might think it has something to do with digital sound equipment but if presented with the product what is your feedback? I need a fresh objective take on that.

Can't think of what the "R" could be. You mean like:

RESLEEVE - Reusable, Reversible Cup Sleeve

I was thinking instead of using "rad" or "radical" as a branding image front word to "resleeve", you could select another front word beginning with the letter "R"

    such as ..

    RivieraResleeves
    RapportResleeves
    RedhotResleeves
    RocketResleeves
    RhinoResleeves

    and the like

What is your thinking with the word "resleeve".

What is your opinion on Jitter Jacket? Are you not responding to that question because you think it is not suitable for my product?

    Thanks

    resleeves.com is available

sorry Karen, accidentally posted before I was finished.

imho "Jitter Jackets" does not add an strategic branding benefits.

Resleeves is available and could be a good solution. However by its self there might be problems really owning it in the consumers mind and as a trademark.

I appreciate your feedback. What is your rationale re:

    "resleeves"

    and Jitter Jacket

    Thanks

I think the problem with “Jitter Jacket” is that it could be a brand name for many different product segments. The word ‘jacket” could provide a clue as to the product category, but it would not be a particularly strong clue. And the word “jitter” could have a negative connotation (caffeine jitters).

Resleeves (reusable sleeves) provides a differentiation from temporary or throw away sleeves for cups and it’s available as a domain name and perhaps a brand name. So maybe ...

Resleeves (brand) reusable cup sleeves (?)

And as I said in previous post It might work as a brand name, or it could be perceived as both too generic and not stand alone enough for a brand name. Which is why I was recommending that you use another word in front of resleeves ... (something) resleeves brand.

    hope this helps,

    Got it.

Yes, I wondered about that regarding "Jitter Jacket".

"Savvy Sleeve - Designer Cup Sleeve", is another idea. What do you think about that?

re: "Savvy Sleeve - Designer Cup Sleeve"

It does not convey a reusable product. So maybe ...

"Savvy Sleeve - Reusable Designer Cup Sleeve"

thank you for your time and efforts . I understand now, where you are coming from with the "re" part . Conveying that it is reusable in the name is not important to me. but having a name that is catchy, gives a hint of what the product is and that describes the essence of the product or the user is important . The fact that they are reusable, eco-friendly, resversable, made of cotton fabric, washable, handmade in the USA are important, but details that the user can find out after their interest is peaked by the name. They are also details that are obvious when they see them. the name will be on the tag that will be on the product.

Trademarked names of other similar products are: Java Jacket, Mocha Mitt, Cup Couture, Cup Coat,

    Am I missing something ??

    Thanks,
