Need Name For Website For Vi

Posted by Shirin on 2000 Points
hi,

I am hoping to get some ideas for a business name/ website name. The website is geared towards rewarding the most frequent shoppers of high end retail stores.

Target Market:
* Affluent Shoppers ( 100K+ Income)
* Male/Female ( 30-50s)
* Tech Savvy
* Frequent/returning shoppers at a variety of high end retail stores.

The main challenge, finding a memorable/unique name that we can also purchase the domain for. We are open to names that are interesting/unique and have a good/fun sound buzz.

Any ideas/help is greatly appreciated.

thank you!

    I am a little confused. I see that the "Vi" in your question title actually is for ViPRO, but I don't get the connection with high end retail stores ...

    it looks like the subject line of my request got cut off, so please ignore the "vi", please see my descp instead

    Where? What country/continent? What do you know about your target audience? Can you give some examples of the brands and kinds of products they're purchasing now?

    Is your primary target audience the consumers themselves, or is it the retailers from whom they buy these high-end goods?

    We'll give you some name suggestions, but it will really help if we understand the target audience better.

    As for your offering, what is the key positioning benefit for someone in your target audience? Why should they be interested in your offering? What's in it for them?

    Also - how are you planning to reward these club members (cash, credit, and/or product)? How will you communicate with them (email, mail, Facebook, Twitter)? Is this a like a frequent flyer's club - they amass points or something else?

    The more you can share about your business plans, the better we can help you.

    Thank you for your questions.

    I'll try to answer them below, due to the confidentiality agreement, I cant disclose all details,

    Where? What country/continent? Mostly US/North America.

    What do you know about your target audience? They typically like to think of themselves as "connoisseurs" or "experts" in the products that they purchase from these retailers. they like to be treated better, have better customer service experience than regular consumers of that store.

    Can you give some examples of the brands and kinds of products they're purchasing now?
    Think "specialty" retail stores. For example "Gorsuch" ski apparrel or Neiman Marcus.... note, the stores they are purchasing from are not neccesarily clothing, could be anything.

    Is your primary target audience the consumers themselves, or is it the retailers from whom they buy these high-end goods?
    the consumers themselves and getting them to use the site.

    As for your offering, what is the key positioning benefit for someone in your target audience? Why should they be interested in your offering? What's in it for them?
    I cant disclose too much, but basically these frequent shoppers will be treated in a prefered way. Think flying first class in an airline.

    Also - how are you planning to reward these club members (cash, credit, and/or product)?
    better customer service experience, almost like having their own personal sales person that knows everything about them and their purchases and what interests them

    How will you communicate with them (email, mail, Facebook, Twitter)? I cant disclose that.

    Is this a like a frequent flyer's club - they amass points or something else? not really.

    From what you're able to share, it sounds like this is a novel approach to a high-end loyalty program. And if your need for a name/domain name is as important as I think it is, you probably ought to hire a consultant or agency that has naming/tagline expertise, have them sign an NDA, and give them all the information to do a really good job for you.

    There are a number of us here on the MarketingProfs Know-How Exchange who can do this job, and several of us have even collaborated on projects like this. Trying to get the right name and domain without letting us in on the product details is almost certainly going to yield sub-optimal results.

    You'd be much better served in this case by getting the NDA and disclosing the relevant information. Need more info? Feel free to contact me using the email address in my profile.

    thank you for your responses.

    @mgoodman, thank you for your suggestion, we are open to hiring someone but at this point we'd like to get a feel for the "creativity" of the members and based on response, we may choose member to hire to further develop.

    @steve& @ jay: Thank you for your suggestions & getting the ball rolling.

    To guide you better, we really looking for a more catchy/short &unique name that implies the things mentioned. Not neccessarily "literally" spelling out what we do. We want to avoid generic or overused words.

    look forward to reading your future suggestions. thank you for your time

    rarefiedprivilege.com is available.

    Perhaps too high concept and just a 2 minute solution. As Michael Goodman says, a number of us are capable of handling this project and investing the appropriate amount of time to provide a great solution. Michael Goodman is a talented professional and would be a good choice.

    One Word.

    Old World but well known in international language.

    Single easy to spell word that doesn't sound ostentatious because it is tagged to something pretentious.

    .com available for purchase.

    Already related to fast paced; front of the line; pole position; and PDQ service expected by those who, as they say, are to The Manor Born..
