Tagline For Mobile Auto Repair Service

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
We are a mobile auto repair service. Our company performs service like oil changes, tune ups, tranny service, brake service, diagnostic service all at a person's house or place of business. We decided to make our company mobile auto repair to make it convenient for the customer and provide them with a way to have their car worked on without the hassle of actually having to take their car to a repair shop. We will be airing a commercial on the radio in a few weeks, and they asked us if we have a slogan, which we don't. Any suggestions?

I gather that the radio station is going to create the copy for you. That is usually not a great way to begin your experience with advertising.

The problem is that the copywriters at radio stations are often not experienced in STRATEGY, so they just wing it and write whatever they think might be memorable.

If you want good results from them, you need to provide a very tight Creative Brief that sets the specs for their creative work, and then hold them to meeting those specs with the copy. If the specs include a slogan or tagline that captures your unique positioning benefit, then say so -- and don't approve the advertising until it meets your stated requirements.

This isn't to disparage the copywriters. It's only to say that strategy isn't their responsibility. It's yours.
