Create A New Category For Services

Posted by Anonymous on 500 Points
We provide a service that is above the normal realm of services for the constrtion industry. We provide premium services for property damage restoration i.e. our firm can provide expert opinon in causation determination and extent of the work, claim paperwork management, managing each claim from the onset.

This is diferent because normally the property owner is left to themself to hire a contractor etc. (even though some reccomendations are made- the contractors are not interested in the overall well being of the owner nor are they interested in keeping the cost to a minimum). Our services provide the owner with a trusted resource that they can be confident will achieve their goals.

I want to create a new category or industry tag for this service. If you go by Construction Manager or Contractor, that is all people think you are- just another contractor, but a professional service type tag completely sets you apart from that. The brand I am trying to create will want to be imitated by new users in the years to come

From what I can glean from this, you sound more like a project manager than a contractor.

I'm not sure if that is common in the building industry where you are, but here they are quite common - they work for the client and liase with all contractors and sub-contractors, make sure budgets are being managed and communications to the clients are clear (well, at least in an idea world!)

Perhaps something along the lines of restoration project management or property project managment would help clarify the difference between your business and a typical contractor?
