I Am Looking For A Catchy Email Subject Tagline.

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I have been requested to create one email to promote March events in our professional theatre: SLEUTH (a murdery mystery), SWITCHBACK (Irish American Roots/Celtic Soul band), BUBBLE WONDERS (bubble-ologist) & ANNE OF GREEN GABLES (children's theatre).

I am trying to come up with a catchy & concise email subject/tagline.

Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you, :)

You can't do a good job of promoting all those different events in a single email message. You're being asked to do something that cannot be done -- at least not effectively.

If you cannot send multiple messages, or segment your mailing list, you have two basic options: (1) pick the event that is likely to have broadest appeal and just concentrate on that one (i.e., forget the others for now); or (b) use a subject that basically says "4 Great Events in March" or "Something for Everyone."

Are you a start up theatre group? Or have you been in the community for a long time?

You can get away with a lot more if you're established locally.

Don't do "catchy". Catchy is death. Do relevant. Do pertinent. Do memorable. Do "stop what you're doing RIGHT NOW and read this message, then click on the link and buy a ticket".
