Name For A Women's Only Fitness Boot Camp

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
We are San Diego's largest women's only boot camp, Boot-ique Fitness. We want to name our boot camp class specifically.

I'd love to have something relatively short and catchy. I'm better at recognizing what I don't like, for instance - I don't like Bombshell Boot Camp or Code Pink.
We are not military style at all, but our classes work hard. It's a 45 minute, action packed class, 3 times a week.

Brainstorming ideas:

female focus
empowering
strong
powerful
inviting
non-intimidating
fast, quick, efficient

Even better, I'd love for the name of the boot camp to translate into a 'nickname' for my members. For example, bodyrock.tv calls their followers 'bodyrockers'.

I'd love to hear your ideas! Thank you!

    Thank you PhilGrisolia4Results.

You raise a very good point. Empowerment is a strong focus.

Perhaps I mis-wrote speaking from my point of view. Thank you for clarifying.

My first advice is to carefully consider your name to ensure it is sustainable over time. ie. if you want to grow and allow men, the "woman-based" name won't work anymore. Or, if you pick something too "fun" or "trendy" it may go out or lose credibility over time?

    How about these:

emPOWER - Women's Fitness Bootcamps (followers are "booties" or "power booties")

    FeminineForm - Women's Fitness Bootcamps

    FineForm - Women's Fitness Bootcamps

KickIt - Fitness Bootcamps for Women
(this name is generic for future use for men and women)

    Hope these help. Peter

    Thank you Peter.

I have considered longevity and growth, but it's ok for this name to grow and change. It's not my business name, just an aspect (major aspect) of it.

One of the reasons I want to name the boot camp is because of growth and differentiation. So, if I do open up a co-ed class or a specific interest class, that can take on another name.

I have considered emPower before. The biggest draw back is it's usage by other boot camps. It would be great to have something more original. However, I will continue to consider it.

    Thank you for your help!

Could you use an acronym to convey your message?

    I'm thinking:

    WOLF Boot Camp
    (Women Only Long-term Fitness)

Could a name like this turn the word "wolf" into a term of empowerment for women? Is there some other acronym that turns a more male term on its head?

I have considered an acronym. L.I.F.T. Yet, most of our exercises are bodyweight and LIFT comes across more like weight lifting.

Other names we've considered that I would appreciate any feedback:
    BLAST BOOT CAMP
    L.I.F.T. Ladies in for thrills
    GLOW BOOT CAMP
    FIRED UP BOOT CAMP
    EVOKE BOOT CAMP
    ALIVE BOOT CAMP
    SUPERWOMAN BOOT CAMP
    SHAPE SHIFTERS BOOT CAMP
    POWER BOOT CAMP
    QUICK FIT BOOT CAMP
    FAST TRACK BOOT CAMP
    ROCKBODY BOOTCAMP
    StrongCORE BOOT CAMP
    FEMME FIT BOOT CAMP

    Jay,

Great responses already. The only thing to add is to consider your target audience.

    Are you looking for
1)Women that are fit already and want to remain so?
    2) Women who are 5-10lbs overweight and want to get to an ideal (in their minds) weight
    3) Women that are 15lbs+ over and are finally fed up.

You know your market but I think a class full of #1 women is intimidating for #3 women to join. There's not a right or wrong answer to this, but it's important when choosing your name.

    Our demographic is:

    -Women – 25-50
    -Income avg 40,000-150,000
    -Within 15 miles of 92103
-seeking lifestyle change rather than quick fix
-unsuccessful at getting fit on their own
-want to improve their body and their health
    -ready for a change
    -want to be held accountable
-want a safe and effective class they can look forward to
-most fitness levels, from beginner to very fit (not necessarily competition level)

We have a large variety of fitness levels. We demonstrate ways to make the same workout harder or easier so that everyone can be challenged at their own fitness level. Competitors (iron man, figure model) are most likely too advanced.

    Thank you for your help!

Thank you, that's clever. However, we are seeking something more modern than Foxy.
