Designing A Logo

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I need to design a logo for a website. The website is for myself to promote my blog and portfolio. The logo must have the letters T & K. Any helps as nothing I have done looks quite right.

Thanks

    Dear Dodds Michael,

    Your question raises more questions:

The relevance of the T and K is what?

What do you and what will you offer via your website?

What will your portfolio contain and why would your ideal buyer be interested?

    Who IS your ideal buyer?

What can you do for this person that no one else in your category can do?

Why do you just need a logo for a website and not for other things such as business cards, letterheads, website banners, invoices, and press ads?

The more detail you can offer the better. But remember: this is a marketing forum, not a graphic design forum. If you want design help, what's your budget, and what's your time line?

Gary has given you the right advice. You need to start by defining your business objective. What do you want the website to accomplish? What do you want the logo to communicate (except for a couple of irrelevant letters)?

Once you have a clear idea, and a Creative Brief that explains them for a designer, then you need to find a professional designer. If this is important, then you don't want an amateurish logo or website design. If it's not important, then just use anything and create it yourself.
