Need Tagline For High End Clothing Brand

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
I have launched a high end fashion brand called Steel Blue. We manufacture and retail our own clothing range for both men and women in different categories such as casual wear, business wear etc.

Customers have used the following words to describe Steel Blue (In fact thats how the brand is different from competitors): Bold, Contemporary, Stylish, Elegant, Unconventional, Trendy
In fact this is how we wish to differentiate ourselves and bring value to the market. These attributes are consistent in everything we produce.

Any suggestions on a catchy tagline which communicates our value proposition? It should sound well with Steel Blue

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I just can't think of the name Steel Blue and fashion without picturing Zoolander.

Also, I imagine any company catering to your demographic would use the exact same words to position themselves. I'd use most of those words to describe Marc Jacobs, or Michael Bastian. Though I have to say some of the words are a bit contradictory. I always think of trendy being the antithesis of stylish (i.e. trends come and go, style is forever).

Maybe look more closely at what your value proposition is by answering the following questions"
    1. who is this for (age, location, life stage, wealth, etc...)
    2. what problem do they have when it comes to fashion (bored with the prep/classic American trend? hipsters are sooooo booooring? need style that endures? need to replace sparkly dragons?)
    3. what Steel Blue offers (expert craftsmanship? throwback swagger? rugged individualism?)
    4. how you are different from other competitors (unlike 7 for all mankind, or William Rast, or whomever, who are [insert why they're lacking], Blue steel offers [why you're better]

    basic value proposition.

once you have that maybe it may be easier to develop a tagline.

    just my 2 cents.
