Natural Products Line Including Dog Treats

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Hello!

I am planning to hit the farmer's market circuit this summer with my line of natural products (for humans and dogs) as well as organic/natural dog treats.

We will have products such as natural lip balm, flea and tick powder, and an extensive line of dog treats that includes the introduction of vitamin treats.

This a locally-based venture, with a bit of online sales. We have previously been known as "Nellie's Happy Belly", but that doesn't address all of our products.

Here is what our logo looked like: https://i32.tinypic.com/2ebxvf7.jpg

I don't necessarily want to depart from it, but I am aware that it may not be the best option for a business that includes multiple product lines.

We have toyed with the names "Nellie's Naturals" which addresses the "natural" aspect but may sound like only beauty products.

I am not set on combining the product lines, but think they relate enough to be umbrella'd under one brand.

My bottom line conclusion is the same as Phil's. Your target audiences are different for your different products, as is the core benefit for each. If you try to put the same brand on all of them, you'll just confuse people.

My suggestion: Name the business for pet products. You can always ask people who stop by to try your other products. And while "natural" is a nice (and popular) feature, remember that people buy treats fundamentally in order to treat their pets. You need to be sure to include the "pets will love them" thought, or people will think that pets might NOT like them because "natural tastes so bad."

Why not, "Good Dog, Nellie!" or "Nellie's Dog Treats"?
