And what can you tell us about your specialties and ideal customers?
  • Posted on Moderator
Who/where are your target customers? What are their most important needs? Why would they want to hire you?

Initially, ideal customers might be: college students, grad students, who need research papers, theses, or dissertations typed; small to medium business owner, who needs file management, office organization, spreadsheet creation, PowerPoint presentations, general typing; law firms, who need someone for overflow word processing, which includes correspondence and/or pleadings; Internet research; professional journal research; information summarizing, etc. In addition, we can provide file conversion services, newsletter creation, scheduling, travel assistance, contact management and business forms creation, meeting coordination, appointment scheduling and reminders, calendar management, phone or voice mail monitoring and call response, e-mail monitoring and response, document scanning, faxing and e-mailing. Eventually, my company will offer accounting services, web site design, and SEO.

    2. Why hire us? No payroll, pension, tax headaches; no office space needed; we can work hourly or by the project; no down time getting the VAC up to speed; VACs depend on word-of-mouth referrals, so getting the job done efficiently and on-time is paramount.

Sorry. I wasn't clear. What important and unique BENEFIT would you deliver to your primary target audience? Your descriptions are all features. And they're so diverse that it's hard to figure out what the benefit might be.

You need to narrow your focus to a single target audience and a single compelling benefit for that audience. Trying to be everything for everyone is a way to confuse all your prospects quickly.
