What's the real purpose of the "fresh name?" Is the goal to sell stuff or to one-up your former friend?

Names that are "a play on words cute easy to remember" are not usually the best names for registering a positioning benefit in the minds of your target audience. You're usually better off giving them a substantive reason to become customers.

So who is your primary target audience? Where do they live? Why do they buy from you? How do they find your site? What's the reason they pick you instead of a competitor?

If we understand the target audience and your unique selling proposition, we'll be able to come up with a great name for you. Without that information we're shooting in the dark.

How similar is similar? She used .net and you had .com?

How are your sales? That's the measure of success; you can name your corporation anything you want.

As an on-line business you want a name which is Search Engine friendly. Therefore I submit my standard naming suggestion here.

Go to the Google Keyword tool and see what search terms are being used most often for your products. Let us say you are in LA and a search term used a lot were "designer skirts LA" and "high fashion boutique, LA." Register the associated domain names.

That is the computer/Internet/SEO friendly part of your name. Now you need to add a human friendly part to it, some humor or charm. Consider a social media (Facebook) contest of some sort.

Lastly, apparently having a video front and center on your landing page (homepage) is a key sales driver for an on-line business. You might want to look into that as well.

    Regards,
