Finger Food Catering Tagline

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Hello,

We are working on a campaign designed to break into the event catering market for our well reviewed empanadas restaurant.

The overall design is geared toward being a economically conscious, artisinal fare with minimal preparation and clean-up (making us also environmentally conscious).

This tagline will go on all of our direct mailing materials. Clients are intended to be non-profit and/or arts organizations.

I'm trying to avoid the use of the word catering because I want to differentiate our ready-to-serve style from that of traditional full-service or buffet style catering.

Any ideas?

If you're trying to focus around the presentation, how about "Event in a Box" or "Ready-To-Serve"? Or, are you trying to focus around the deliciousness of the food ("Simply Delicious Food")?

You need to understand what's important to your target audience when they select a caterer (or whatever you want to call the service). You're trying to communicate too much in a tagline.

And you haven't told us what the name of the company is. It's almost impossible to come up with a good tagline without knowing: (1) the name of the company; (2) exactly who the target audience is; and (3) what the positioning benefit is -- the unique and important benefit that your target audience will find a compelling reason to buy what you're selling.

    Hi,

Sorry if this wasn't clear. To cover some points mentioned above... and add additional information. I realize this is a lot to ask of a tagline and was just trying to provide an overall understanding of the campaign.

Restaurant Name: Empanadas Cafe (empanadascafe.com - new website in the works)

Target Audience: Non-profit and arts-based organizations (primary) and private individuals (secondary).

Event market: Museum and gallery openings, seminars, film festivals, book launches, theatrical performances and video productions

Benefits to using this service (our key selling points): Gourmet/artisinal food; easy, clean and compact offering; economically and environmentally conscious.

If this is helpful, here is a list of some buzzwords we like for the branding: Fresh, stylish, mingle, artisinal, crafted, tailored, sensible, feast, memorable.

    And... two potential phrases:
"a stylish catering service tailored for mingling events"
"Crafted to taste and ready to serve - NY critics' favorite feast."

Any additional suggestions are still welcome.
