Why will a court reporter come to the seminar? What's the core benefit that will compel them to give up a weekend for this? Is it mostly social? Is it because they need the continuing ed credit to keep working? Is it because they love what they do so much that they'd rather be in the seminar than home with family?

A court reporter will come to this seminar to earn continuing education credits. A secondary reason for attending is the social and networking aspects. Court reporters for the most part are independent contractors or employed by state/federal governments. Court reporters don't work with one another on a daily basis, and the convention is often the only time for court reporters to come together and "talk shop."

I love "Court Reporter Pow-Wow." The convention will be held in Prescott, AZ. So I was tweaked your title a little bit to "Prescott 2011: Pow-Wow in the Pines."

Our industry is on a drive to encourage reporters to use the latest technology available to our profession. Many reporters are slow to embrace new technology. I wonder whether "Pow-Wow in the Pines" sounds progessive enough.

Today I saw a kid wearing a t-shirt that had the Nike Swoosh on it and above the Swoosh, it read "Rise Above." So simple and effective -- wish I could borrow it!

I really like the title of your forum -- "Know-How Exchange." Would you consider letting us court reporters use it as a title for our seminar?
