Need Name & Tagline For Massage/skin Care Spa

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I need a name & tagline for my massage/skin care spa that I can run with- easily brand and market it.
I'm expanding my spa in January to a full service massage & skin care spa along with a store for massage supplies & client products. It will be located in a historical district where signage may be limited. I need help coming up with a catchy name & tagline so that I can have a designer create something awesome. I was thinking of using something with my nickname "Cy" (pronounced "sigh") but I'm not sure what or if that is even a good idea. Once I have a solid name and tagline I want to be able to brand it like crazy. I know that all starts with the foundation.... a great name! ... Help! =) Most spa's have the same redundant names - I want something unique, classy, fun and, if possible, self explanatory.

Thanks for any ideas!

Correction: It does NOT all start with a great name.

It starts by defining your target audience really well (and precisely), understanding their needs, values, habits, practices, attitudes, and decision-making process. Then you need to figure out what important and unique benefit you offer that target audience that makes you the perfect (and compelling) choice for them.

Then you need to come up with a marketing plan. How is your target audience going to learn about your business?

Then you're ready for a name and tagline.

If you START with a name, it's almost certain to be sub-optimal, and you'll kick yourself later for not starting at the beginning.

Thank you mgoodman - I agree with you. I have already been working on that aspect for quite some time. I guess a better way for me to state things - I am in the process of creating a name that will attract my clients and target audience.
needs, - an escape from stress & busy work days, pain relief, peace, reliability, consistency and ease of access
values, - loyalty, convenience, quality, knowledge (expertise), strong work ethic
attitudes, - anything can be accomplished, never say no
    decision-making process

most of my clients, and the clients I want to continue to attract are: businessmen/women many are "C" level and presidents. Also wives of middle to upper class, some also bringing their teenagers involved in sports etc. Many of them need flexible schedules to accommodate their busy lives of business trips and running kids around. Many of my clients travel and are very loyal. Once they find a therapist they like - they will stick with them unless it becomes too inconvenient.

    Does this help?
