Tagline For A Rental Listing Website

Posted by Anonymous on 300 Points
I am starting a rental listing website called 'College Rental Listings' which offers a place for landlords, real estate agents, and property managers to advertise homes, apartments, or townhomes for rent to College students.

I am looking for some help in creating a tagline for my company that I would like to include with the logo. I had thought of the tagline "Always Free to Look" to inform college students that they don't need to pay for our service, but I am concerned that the tagline doesn't address the other target audience I need to address, which is the prospective landlords(revenue source). Perhaps the tagline should somehow address them also?

Somehow I would also like to incorporate the following concepts into the tagline if possible: trust, ease-of-use, resourcefulness, and professional.

Any suggestions?

I just thought that one of the main selling points that applies to both of my target audiences, college students as well as landlords, is that my service will easily connect the two groups to each other. I would like a tagline that communicates that message as well.

You are trying to do too much with the tagline. The tagline should be a high-level expression of the benefit/end-benefit you provide, and the goal should be to get your target audience(s) to seek more information. It's not a sales letter.

One thing that jumps out: Why not reference the NAME of the college? If you are planning to serve multiple colleges, you can simply create a different landing page for each one and make that page specific to the school. That also lets your tagline be even more specific to each target audience.

And on your landing page, be sure to segment the audience immediately, so that students see what they need to see, landlords see what they need to see, real estate agents see what they need to see, etc. You don't want to confuse anyone with information most relevant for a different target audience.
