New Business Name For Accounting/bookkeeping

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I am starting my own accounting/bookkeeping business (no tax work). My target customers are other small business owners who do not have the time and/or the knowledge to deal with acctng/bkpng. I would also be helpful in getting/keeping a customer organized. I am not a CPA.

I like the name AccountAble Soluntions. What do you think? Any other suggestions would be welcome.

The word "Solutions" has become trite, but that doesn't mean you can't or shouldn't use it. It's also not clear exactly what it means in the context of your business. Doesn't it suggest that there's a problem that needs to be solved?

You might consider an approach that includes reference to your location and the fact that you serve small businesses. Example: Mid-Atlantic Business Bookkeeping. (Substitute your town or region name, or some other local reference, for "Mid-Atlantic" in the example.)

The more specific you can be in the name, the easier it will be for prospective clients to figure out what you do and who you serve. It's not obvious what "AccountAble Solutions" does/is, who the target audience is, or what problem it solves.

Alternatively, consider names like "The Small Business Accountant" or "Your Personal Accountant" which aren't as "punny" but clearly state what you offer.

This feedback is a good start. Part of my dilemma is that I want to offer both bookkeeping and accounting services, depending on what level of service the client needs. However, "XYZ Accounting & Bookkeeping Services" seems like a mounthful. Is it? For example, our region is called the Low Country and I'm located on the Islands. Would "Islands Acctng & Bookpng Services" be too long/cumbersome?
