Know-How Exchange : Taglines/Names

Where? How do your customers find/learn about you?

Why do you want a tagline? What's the name of the company? If you've been in business for 35 years, most people in your area probably know about you, right? So what's driving the request for a tagline?

Assuming you really want a tagline, we should probably know what it is you want to communicate with the tagline. What message do you want to deliver to your target audience?

How do your customers find you now? How do they decide which specialist to hire when they need their roof fixed? What makes you different from, and better than, your competition?

The more information you can provide the better job we can do for you with a tagline.

All of our business has been by word of mouth. We''re now having to do some marketing.Trying to get into managment companies and getting their property manager''s names is the hardest part for us, so we''re going the ''social media'' route. We''re finishing up a webpage, Facebook and Linkedin. We have always been extremely busy but with us being 9" behind in rain and the economy the way it is, we''re struggling.

We''re pushing preventative maintenance, gutter cleaning etc. etc. Unfortunately, we can''t'' compete with Tom, Dick and Harry and a truck. We''re a small company. We''ve never advertised to residents, but thru our website and other listings we''re beginning to pick up some of that business.

We prefer the repeat business that Homeowner Assoc., Property Management and Apartments can give you.

Our company names says nothing about our business, but that''s not something that we can change.

WE FIX ANY EXTERIOR LEAK. That''s one reason that we''re different. We also "cater to the Management company industry" and "take their problem off their hands".

We''re putting together all kinds of Marketing materials and going in alot of different directions, while we''re slow.

We can''t wait until the next storm, but we''re in Atlanta and don''t know when that''ll be. The weather people keep promising but nothing has made it to us.
