Tag Line For An Established Rhinestone Business

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
We are looking for a tag line for our business. The business is established but never had one.

The Business name is: Rhinestone Guy (same domain)
We sell loose rhinestones and rhinestone related items both to customers and businesses that use rhinestones. We sell over the phone/mail order and get our traffic from the web and referrals.

What we know make us different is that we, the owners, actually get on the phones with the customers and help them with their choices, projects, alternatives and solutions. Many tell us that they come back to us because of our customer service, fair pricing, the ideas and advise we are willing to share, the solutions we offer and because we ship very quickly.

So far we came up with:
Rhinestone Guy
... adding sparkle to your life
... helping you sparkle and not just shine
... helping you sparkle and shine
... All that sparkle served with a smile

WHY do you want a tagline? What do you think it will do for you? How will you know if it's working?

There is certainly nothing wrong with a tagline, but you seem to have done pretty well without one so far. What has changed that has you looking for a tagline?

Your name says pretty clearly what you do, and you have both B2B and a B2C markets, so it's likely that the benefits are not exactly the same (for the two kinds of audiences). A single tagline is likely to confuse at least one of them, or it may be sub-optimal for both.

Let's understand the objective before we charge off and develop taglines.

    Now I'm confused.

In your original question you wrote, "We sell over the phone/mail order and get our traffic from the web and referrals."

Now you're trying to "catch the eye" of lost walk-in customers and local businesses.

If you really get most of your business over the phone/mail order and from the web and referrals, then you probably haven't "LOST" very much walk-in traffic.

If it were my business, I don't think I'd be worrying about a tagline. I'd be re-thinking my basic marketing strategy and perhaps advertising locally.
