Effective Name And Logo For Risk Mangement Company

Hi,

I wanted to get feedback regarding creating a name for a Risk Management Company that I want to start.

The idea is that it will be one main company with smaller subsidiaries all relating to a form of risk management eg. one will be business continuity/disaster recovery services, and another will be actuarial risk managment

The name I was leaning towards was "Elite Risk Management" with a Chess board in the background and different chess pieces depending on the subsidiary.

I'll also need an effective tag line, but none springs to mind...

    Hi,

    To decide brand name in your case (as you are planning to have an umbrella brand under which different divisions will work for different functions), you need to look into following.

    1. What do you offer? - Speed of disaster management, reliability, effectiveness/ reach of your services etc. Instead of Elite, you can associate brand name and punch line with such aspects of your company with individual services. This way your brand will become synonym to the nature of the service provided.

    2. For umbrella brand, you can find common word that associates all services offered by company. Otherwise, you can just have a corporate name which has nothing to do with risk management. In second option, you can explore other business easily and people will be able to associate your new products/ services with umbrella brand.

    Similarly, for logo, you can explore core value/ service offered by the company.
