Name Ideas-benefit Concert - Organ Transplantation

Posted by tsquillante on 250 Points
We are a non profit society and have held two benefit shows under the name Share the Beat. We are looking to change the name because we think there’s another name out there that could convey our message stronger. We welcome any input.

Moving forward we will hire current musical acts and create a true concert event series to be held throughout the US. We will also intertwine messages about organ donation through storytelling by recipients and donor families.

The event supports community outreach awareness activities as well as medical research grants. We want people to have the conversation about organ donation with their friends and families.

There are no real requirements for the new name, no specific words that must or mustn’t be used; we have flexibility.

All suggestions are welcome as they will spark brainstorming sessions.
Thanks!

Thank you for responding. Here are the answers to your questions:

    What type of organ transplantation?
Our group concentrates on all solid organs such as liver, kidney, heart, lung, and pancreas. But transplantation goes beyond that to cell, skin, marrow, bone, etc.

Why should people care about the benefit?
There are over 100,000 people on the waiting list for a life saving organ transplant and the list gets larger each year. The basic goal is to get people to sign up to be a donor and have the conversation about organ donation with their families so that their wishes are honored. From one donor, over seven lives can be saved from solid organ transplantation alone. Secondary to that, we would like to educate people about living donation (kidney and partial liver). There is hope in transplantation for those on the waiting list and we honor the donor families who make the decision to save others at a difficult time in their own lives.

What % of the monies raised go to outreach vs. salaries vs. grants?
100% of the net proceeds go to a restricted endowment that funds community outreach, education, and research grants. There is no set % split. Salaries are paid from the overall society operating budget.

Thanks but was looking for something a bit more imaginative or out of the box that still made a connection. Appreciate your effort.
