Help W/ Logo & Tagline Ideas.

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Hey There! Recently my sisters and I decided to start an event planning business. As hard as it was for us to agree upon a name for the business it finally got done. The name is “Signed EJB&Co” the EJB&Co represents our initials. Now we are having difficulty choosing a logo. The most logical thing to do would be to have a pen signing EJB&Co, although that is not a bad idea. We want something a little more creative. We are also look for a tag line, we are all young ladies between the ages of 19 and 30, and we don’t want the same old same old boring tag line. We want something sassy and fun. Any Suggestions? Nothing is too silly. Thanks :)

Since "Signed EJB&Co" says nothing of who you serve or a clear benefit of your company, everything else needs to be focused on being clear (Aside: if it's not too late, pick a name that has nothing to do with your initials, and everything to do with who you help).

As for a tagline, again it doesn't matter what your ages are, your personalities, sassy/fun, etc. What matters is what you can uniquely do for others.

    So, tell us about:
    - where you're located
    - who specifically you're hoping to help
    - why they'd want to hire your services
    - how they know they should entrust their event to you

Without these key details, all you're likely to get are generic taglines/logo suggestions that really won't help your business.

Thanks you. Although our name doesn't clearly state what we do. The website we are creating will clearly state out services. Thank you for your advice.

I agree with Jay - why rely on your website to do the heavy lifting. If it isn't too late, choose a name for your company that gives people a clear idea of what you do. The name you have selected could be a law firm or a bail bondsman. The combination of letters is clunky and only serves only ego of the people whose names it represents. Your business needs it's own personality! Besides, when you are a wild success, it is going to be easier to sell if you have a marketable name.

    Good luck!
