Know-How Exchange : Taglines/Names

You will have to give us more information if you want our input on a tagline. What's the purpose of the tagline? Who is your target audience? What do you want the tagline to communicate?

You can focus on following to make the taglines.

1. Your work - Write the tagline to give message to the people that you choose unique, elegant, easy/ difficult, unusual/ obvious but often overlooked etc. type pottery. This way you can associate your qualities with the project.

2. Target Group - If you are doing this project for a specific class of people who are expecting a certain result, then write the taglines specifically for them e.g. if you have been told to photograph pottery of a specific culture then write lines to introduce this culture to them.

3. Story - Sequence the taglines and photographs to tell a story e.g. how clay is morphed into a beautiful work of art or how a common man changes something raw into a master piece.

4. Branding - Create new terms for individual processes or steps within it and brand them with tagline e.g. oil based modelling clay can be termed as Anointment.
