Inbound marketing refers to permission-based marketing strategies in which consumers choose to learn more about you by conducting a keyword search online, subscribing to your RSS feed, downloading your white paper, opting into your email newsletter, watching your videos, listening to your podcasts, visiting your social network or commenting on your blog.

So who is your primary target audience? Where? What important and unique benefit do you offer? Why should they hire you instead of a competitor, or instead of doing it themselves?

"Small, local businesses" is a pretty broad definition for a target audience. There are millions of those all over the world, and it will cost you a fortune to reach them all. Can you be more specific in defining who you plan to serve?

My target audience is small businesses (1 to 10 employees) with high value clients - i.e. doctors, dentists, chiropractors, attorneys, auto dealers, manufacturers, contractors, beauty salons. I currently live in Georgia (40 miles outside of Atlanta). However, I will be relocating in 2013.

I've run small businesses, so I know that the average small business owner doesn't have the time or knowledge to do it themselves. They also don't have the budget to hire a larger marketing firm.

I think my advantage over my competition is a sum of several things. Firstly, I'm a HubSpot Inbound Marketing Certified Professional. My skills in inbound marketing, my knowledge of business management, along with my experience in customer service and training, make me uniquely poised to provide a better service to this target market.
