I plan to focus on situations, not occasions. For example, instead of making baskets for birthdays or holidays, I'd make them geared towards people who are caregivers and need a pick-me-up. Or mothers of preemies - the basket would include little treats and helpful items. I'm also planning on using as many hand-made items as I can find... maybe some teas, but in general, no food. I plan on spending a considerable amount of time looking for just the right items to include. Almost like curating, but for gifts :-)
Target audience would be adult women. This will not be a brick and mortar store for now (although that would be a dream for the future!) but home-based. I wanted to market these to hospital gift shops, craft malls, Ebay for exposure. If that goes well, I'd expand to selling them from my website.
I liked "take the guessing out of giving (or gifting)" but after Googling it, noticed that was pretty much the title of every gift guide ever published. I'm really no good at coming up with stuff like this. I hope I've provided enough info for you to help me!
Thanks!
