What Is Your First Thought When You Hear This...

Posted by tntjarrett on 50 Points
First, I would like to know what feelings, thoughts or associations come to your mind when you hear this name....The Ladie's Room....Second, I'll explain why I thought of it and ask if you think it is good or if you have other name suggestions. I own a housekeeping business and also sell MLM cosmetic type products. I am wanting to expand or add additional websites where I can have a blog. I am a mother of 4 kids, do all my own work as a housekeeper and am trying to add other MLM products to my arsenal so I would like to blog about all those type of things. I'm wanting a website that I could have links to all my businesses and some ad supported blogs. Basically it's mainly geared toward women and mothers. So I thought a good name would be "The Ladie's Room" About women and for women and empowering women. I want to offer jobs and mentorship to other aspiring women business owners as well as products and services. I'm afraid the name would conjur up the usual definition...a public bathroom. Maybe if it's followed with a good tagline it would work? Does it sound like a sleezy porn site? Would it peak people's interest to go to the site or turn them away? So any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

My first thought is the name is misspelled.
The name itself wouldn't be strong enough to make people want to visit nor enough to make people not visit. Ultimately it's not really about your name - it's about the experience you provide people who visit your website.

I agree with Jay. I couldn't get past the misspelling.

As a women I like your idea and personally I didn't even notice the misspelling until I saw the others comments. I do agree though, I think your name has to incorporate the experience you are providing.
