Name For New Financial Consultanting Business

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I am working on a name for my new Financial Consulting business. I have worked for a company for 9 years and have decided to open my own firm in a different part of the city. I am thinking of using my last name "O'Keefe" in the name for branding. My mission is that everyone needs to have good financial advice. Most financial consultants want to target and cater to the high net worth and the people with smaller amounts (under $100K) get ignored. I believe everyone should have the opportunity to get sound advice. So I want the name to be strong and rich but not scare the people who have smaller amounts away from calling.

Traditionally companies with the surname as part of the brand are expensive - that's what people perceive anyway - so I worry that just having your surname will alienate the market you want to target.

Why not use your first name? That's much more personable and makes you approachable.

Forgot to say that having a company name with "A" puts you higher up in any alpha listing too :-)
