Need A Name For A New Fitness/wellness Center

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
We are opening a fitness/wellness center that will be physician owned. We are offering fitness classes (Pilates, spin, yoga, boot camp, etc) and will coordinate it with a physician's weight loss program. We want to appeal to males and females at every age and fitness level. We will also have a small retail area for clothing, jewelry, our own name products and small gift items. We will eventually add massage therapy, facials and other services. We want to focus on looking and feeling better while getting healthier. We will also be holding regular seminars and workshops run by different physician specialties.

Phil Grisolia has the right idea.

What makes you unique is the "physician owned" feature, and the credibility that implies. To not have that in your name would be to walk away from what makes you unique.

And his point about "fitness" instead of "wellness" is right too. Wellness is (a) overused, and (b) a coined word that means the opposite of "sickness." Since this is NOT a medical facility, and since the focus of what you offer is really fitness (more than wellness), there's no need to bring in the concept of sickness/wellness.

The one thing you might consider is adding reference to WHERE your target audience lives. Example: Physicians Fitness Center | Houston.
