Need Tagline For Event Marketing Community Website

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I humbly appeal to the "Tagline Titans" out there in MarketingProfs Land. I seek your creativity and expertise in generating a tagline to promote and brand an internal website community.

This website community was developed for event marketers and event producers at a big, international software company. It is designed to be an online community and information resource where the event marketers and producers can ...

1. access the latest company event information (CMO announcements, companywide event calendar, event logistic details, etc.);

2. keep apprised of the latest event marketing trends and technologies (QR codes, RFID, social media, mobile apps, etc.); and

3. network with one another (since we're located all over the world).

Despite solid content that is refreshed often, readership is low. So a catchy tagline could really help my promotional efforts. I need to lure the regulars back to the site. And I want to entice those who don’t know about the site to come check it out.

Witty, wry, and whimsy are okay. Restyling idioms, adages, and metaphors is also okay. Backspinning marketing buzz words is very okay.

Thank you! Thank you!

    It is highly unlikely that just having a Tagline will get your visits up. Most likely it is something else keeping people from using the site. Could be content or just the fact that they are not aware of the value of the site. I suggest you look at "things" other than a tagline to increase visits.

    Hi Harry --

    I appreciate your input. And you may well be right that other factors are impacting readership. My emphasis all along has been on content. I try to select content that is relevant, timely, and interesting to my audience and keep the homepage refreshed with new content at least twice a week.

    A tagline may not solve my readership problem, but perhaps it can help convey the essence and value of the website through an effective, pithy statement so that I can expand promotion and increase awareness.

    Thanks so much for your advice.
